The ingredients needed to make Marinated Tofu:
- Prepare Firm Tofu
- Make ready Cold Water
- Take Salt
- Make ready <Marinade>
- Take Garlic *crushed
- Make ready Olive Oil
- Prepare Lemon Juice
- Get Herbs and/or Spices of your choice *optional
- Make ready *Note: This time, I used Lemon Zest, Dry Italian Herb Mix, Fresh Tarragon and Black Pepper
Instructions to make Marinated Tofu:
- Mix Cold Water and Salt to make salty water. The saltiness is up to your preference.
- Cut Firm Tofu into small cubes, place in a container and cover with the salty water. I recommend to keep in the fridge overnight.
- Next day, discard the salty water. Combine crushed Garlic cloves, Olive Oil, Lemon Juice, Herbs and/or Spices of your choice and the salted Tofu in a clean container. Place in fridge for at least 2 days to allow flavours to develop.
- *Herbs & Spices: Black Pepper Corns, Chilli, Capers, Olives, Bay Leaves, Lemon Zest, Basil, Oregano, Thyme, Rosemary, Tarragon, Dill, etc.
