The ingredients needed to make Daal Gosht:
  1. Make ready Bengal Gram or Chana Daal soaked
  2. Get Mutton Bone-in
  3. Get Ginger garlic paste
  4. Prepare Salt or to taste
  5. Make ready Cumin powder roasted
  6. Prepare Red Chilli powder
  7. Take Turmeric powder
  8. Take Chana Masala
  9. Prepare Oil
  10. Get Onions finely chopped
  11. Get small bunch Coriander Leaves finely chopped
  12. Take Green Chillies finely chopped
  13. Make ready Dry Mango powder or Amchur homemade
Steps to make Daal Gosht:
  1. Soak Dal for about 3 hours. Boil with little Salt and set aside. It should be firm yet soft. Water quantity should be as minimal as possible. In a Pressure Cooker, heat Oil and saute Onions with Ginger garlic paste until light brownish in colour. Add Green Chillies and Mutton Bone-in now. Mix well and saute for 5 minutes. Add the rest of the ingredients and pressure cook on high for 8 whistles or as required.
  2. To this cooked meat, add in the boiled Dal and give them all a good mix. Take care while mixing so that Dal doesn't break up. Simmer on a low heat for about 15 more minutes. The consistency is semi dry. Do not add more water.
  3. Garnish with lots of freshly chopped Coriander Leaves. Serve piping hot with Rice and any side dish of your choice. Enjoy!
