This recipe happened one night when I was making white rolls and I ran out of flour. All I had left was wholemeal flour, and luckily for me, it worked out well. One day I was making dinner rolls and I ran out of white flour. I had some wholemeal flour left and they worked out well.

Instructions to make Wholemeal Rolls:
  1. Place all the ingredients in a bowl and mix until it forms a dough - You can either knead the dough by hand (or use an electric mixer) for 5 minutes - Place the dough back in the mixing bowl and cover with clingfilm - Leave to rise until doubled in size, about 45-60 minutes
  2. Knead the dough again for 1 minute - Divide the dough into 8 balls and place in a 25cm circular baking pan with one roll in the middle and the other seven in a circle around it - Leave to rise again until the dough has doubled, about 40 minutes
  3. Preheat the oven to 220 oC - Bake for 25-30 minutes - Remove from the pan and allow to cool before serving
